The EDIX Tariq is a distinctive soft tree dressage saddle in the EDIX collection. Designed in collaboration with Grand Prix rider Gaëtan Bocklandt, this saddle combines the latest insights in modern dressage with the anatomical freedom of a treeless construction. The Tariq offers the perfect balance between stability, comfort, and adaptability.
Construction
The EDIX Tariq is built on a flexible soft tree: an internal base consisting of a 3-point fiber pommel, a fiber cantle, and thick yet supple leather connecting the two. This leather tree is layered with multiple shock-absorbing and flexible components. While technically still treeless, due to the absence of a solid rigid tree, the Tariq provides more structure than traditional treeless saddles.
The Tariq comes standard with long dressage flaps and features adjustable thigh blocks with screw attachment, a movable stirrup bar, and multiple girthing options. The seat is medium-deep with a medium-high cantle, and offers a narrow twist for a balanced and secure position.
The leather panels are filled with resilient synthetic wool. The wider panel shape and broad spinal channel allow for optimal shoulder freedom, even pressure distribution, and spinal clearance. The panels can easily be refilled or adjusted to suit the horse.

Availability
The EDIX Tariq is available in black and brown, in sizes XS–16.5", S–17”, M–17.5” and L–18”.
It comes standard with a long dressage flap and a medium-deep seat. The flexibility of the soft tree can be customized on request, as can the flap length or angle, panel filling, flap design, and more.
Due to the unique construction and adjustability of the saddle, EDIX strongly recommends purchasing through an official EDIX dealer or saddle fitter. They can assist in selecting the correct fit, adjusting the thigh blocks, and tailoring the panels. For optimal comfort and saddle position correction, the EDIX 8-pocket pad and EDIX girth are recommended. These accessories further refine pressure distribution and balance.
