Did you know that EDIX western saddles are also an excellent choice for larger horse breeds?

As you can see here with our ambassador Robin Cooijmans and Bente, a beautiful Belgian Draft Horse. In one photo, Bente is shown with the EDIX Santos, while in the other she is wearing the EDIX Django.

This combination perfectly demonstrates that finding the right saddle is always a matter of matching the individual horse and rider. Every EDIX western saddle has its own unique characteristics in terms of weight, leather quality, flexibility, and construction. What feels ideal for one horse and rider combination may not necessarily be the best solution for another. After all, every horse, every rider, and every partnership is unique.

Fortunately, all EDIX western saddles share one important feature: exceptional comfort. When a horse clearly expresses a preference, the rider can feel confident that they will enjoy that same level of comfort in the saddle.

During this saddle consultation Bente made her preference very clear. Her choice was the EDIX Santos.

The Santos is crafted from high-quality buffalo leather, offers beautiful flexibility, and at approximately 6.9 kg is a true lightweight within the western saddle segment. This makes it a fantastic saddle for long trail rides and outdoor adventures. In addition, the Santos has a beautiful classic appearance, something Robin immediately fell in love with.

Not every saddle fitter is able to offer an in-person fitting consultation due to distance or location. Fortunately, a physical fitting is not always necessary to find the right EDIX western saddle. Thanks to the extensive knowledge and experience of our saddle fitters and online consultants, we can often make a highly accurate recommendation basedon a detailed conversation, photographs, information about horse and rider, and experiences with previous saddles.

While an online consultation can sometimes be more challenging than a hands-on fitting, our consultants are highly experienced in guiding riders remotely and helping them find the model that best suits both horse and rider.
