Yesterday we asked you whether you would classify the EDIX Union and EDIX Fusion as a barebackpad or a saddle. The responses sparked some great discussions, and one question was:⁠

"What do you, as EDIX, think?"⁠

After giving it plenty of thought, we've decided to create a dedicated category on our website: BarebackSaddles.⁠
⁠
Why? Because while the Union and Fusion offer the close-contact feeling and freedom that many riders love about bareback riding, they are much more than what is commonly considered a barebackpad.⁠
⁠
When people think of a barebackpad, they often picture a simple piece of fabric with girth straps attached. The EDIX Union and Fusion are in a completely different league. ⁠

They feature:⁠

✔️ A medium-deep seat for added stability and comfort⁠
✔️ Excellent pressure distribution for both horse and rider⁠
