The pad has a beautiful anatomical back line and, due to the small ink at the front, sufficient space for high withers. On both sides of the spine there are 1 large and 3 small compartments for inserts on the inside, all with felt inserts. Of course, a different type of insert can be chosen if necessary. Because the pad is equipped with 8 insert pockets, there are several options to ensure further pressure distribution with the pad and/or to position the saddle differently. Where the rider has suffered from chafing while riding, a nylon reinforcement has been improved to prevent wear.
High-quality Merino wool is probably still technically one of the most powerful materials in the world. Because the original fur skin is used instead of sheared and woven, optimal benefit is taken from the benefits of this natural material. That is why we recommend that you use directly on the horse’s carpet.
The new free spinal canal of the EDIX Merino pads, with short-shorn Merino fur, has been developed in a way to reduce pressure points and to provide the best protection for your horse’s spine. Furthermore, the Merino fur sheet has a large surface area so that the panels of the saddle can rest completely. This allows the natural fibers to effectively transport sweat moisture to the outside, distributing the pressure and absorbing shock.
The EDIX Baroque pads can be used for various brands of treeless saddles as well as traditional saddles.
