A premium quality finished anatomically shaped universal half pad made with original Merino fur sheet. The EDIX half pad is equipped with 2 large and 6 small insert compartments, including the felt inserts. The wool has an anti-bacterial, therapeutic, heat and moisture regulating effect, improves pressure distribution and prevents chafing.
The pad is made of quilted quilted cotton, with an entire underside of high-quality real Merino fur. The pad has a shaved spinal canal and has been developed to reduce the risk of pressure points and provide optimal protection. This space guarantees freedom of movement for the spine. On both sides of the spine there are 2 large compartments on the inside and 3 small compartments on the top for inserts, all with felt inserts. Of course, a different type of insert can be chosen if necessary. Because the pad is equipped with 8 insert pockets, there are several options to ensure further pressure distribution with the pad and/or to position the saddle differently. The half path is also called a correction path.
High-quality Merino wool is probably still one of the most technically advanced materials in the world. Because the entire original fur sheet is used instead of sheared and woven wool, optimal benefit is taken from the benefits of this natural material. That is why we recommend that you use the wool directly on the horse’s back.
The new free spinal canal of the EDIX Merino pads, with short-sheared Merino wool, has been developed in a way to reduce pressure points and to provide the best protection for your horse’s spine. Furthermore, the Merino fur sheet has a large surface area so that the panels of the saddle rest completely on it. As a result, the natural fibers effectively distribute sweat moisture to the outside, simultaneously distributing pressure and absorbing shock.
