The EDIX Novaly is an elegant dressage saddle that uniquely combines flexibility and structure. Built on the well-known EDIX Soft Tree construction, this model offers a stable, anatomically responsive foundation for both horse and rider. The Novaly provides the perfect balance between structure, comfort, and adjustability.

Construction

The EDIX Novaly is built on a flexible soft tree: a three-part internal base consisting of a fiber 3-point pommel, a fiber cantle, connected by thick yet supple leather. This leather tree is constructed from multiple shock-absorbing and flexible layers. Although technically still treeless, due to the absence of a rigid tree, the Novaly offers more structure than traditional treeless saddles. The monoflap design allows the rider’s leg to lie close to the horse, enhancing contact and communication.

The Novaly features a Y-girthing system that distributes girth pressure over a larger surface area, ensuring stable positioning even on round-ribbed or more dynamic horses. The seat is medium-deep with a narrow twist. The Novaly requires a short break-in period, during which the saddle further molds to both horse and rider and becomes increasingly flexible.

The leather panels are filled with resilient synthetic wool. Thanks to the wide gullet channel and broadened panels, optimal shoulder freedom, pressure distribution, and spinal clearance are achieved. The panels can easily be reflocked or adjusted to suit the individual horse.

The EDIX Novaly is available in black and brown, in sizes  S–17”, M–17.5” and L–18”.

The flexibility of the soft tree can be adjusted upon request, as well as flap length or angle, panel filling, flap shape, and more.

Due to the unique construction and adjustability of the saddle, EDIX strongly recommends purchasing through an official EDIX dealer or saddle fitter. They can assist in selecting the correct fit, adjusting the thigh blocks, and tailoring the panels. For optimal comfort and saddle position correction, the EDIX 8-pocket pad and EDIX girth are recommended. These accessories further refine pressure distribution and balance.
