Comfort-Focused Design
The special crownpiece ensures that the ears remain pressure-free, and the throat latch is designed to keep the cheek pieces away from the eyes. Both the crownpiece and noseband are softly padded and oval-shaped for optimal comfort. The crownpiece is adjustable over the horse's poll, meaning the bridle can be customized for each individual horse. Thanks to the specially designed crownpiece, throat latch, and cheek pieces, the bridle sits stably on the horse’s head, making a browband unnecessary.
Bridle Functionality
The EDIX ED1 chincross bridle works as follows: When pressure is applied to the reins, this pressure is directed only to the lower jaw, just behind the chin, with light pressure on the horse's nose. When you apply pressure to either the left or right rein, the pressure is transferred to the opposite side of the horse’s head. The opposite side remains free of pressure, causing the horse to bend in the desired direction in combination with your seat and leg aids.
When pressure is applied on both reins, the noseband tightens around the nose, and the pressure is focused on the nose. Thanks to the shape of the crossed straps, there is a quick release when the pressure is removed from the reins, causing the noseband to open immediately.
