Our passion is reining, and we are proud to be ambassadors for the EDIX Reining saddles. Yannick has been riding western since he was 15 and has explored several disciplines over the years, from cutting to horsemanship and trail. For the past four years, his main focus has been reining with his competition horses Magic and Ralphie. Sophie has been riding since she was 10 and originally started in dressage. After meeting Yannick, she discovered western riding and has now been riding reining for three years with Jojo and Legend. She also enjoys adding variety to her training with neck rope work.
When we first discovered treeless saddles, we were honestly a little sceptical. Reining involves powerful and fast manoeuvres, such as sliding stops and spins, so it is extremely important to us that a saddle remains stable. The EDIX Reining saddle really surprised us. It stays securely in place throughout these manoeuvres while still allowing our horses plenty of freedom of movement.
We can also feel the difference in their performance. Their stops have improved and their spins feel smoother and more unrestricted. For us, the EDIX Reining saddle combines exactly what we are looking for: stability for the rider and freedom of movement for the horse. Our experience has completely convinced us, and we are now true fans of EDIX treeless saddles.
