Description
The EDIX® ED4 Classic is an anatomically shaped bitless bridle developed with the horse’s comfort as its main priority. Its carefully considered fit helps reduce pressure on sensitive areas of the horse’s head while ensuring a stable position during riding.
The bridle forms the basis of the modular EDIX ED4 system and can be combined with various types of hackamore shanks. This allows the chosen action to be adapted to the horse, rider, and riding style, without the need for an entirely different bridle.
The EDIX ED4 Classic is crafted from high-quality Italian leather and has a timeless, classic appearance.
Comfort-Focused Design
The anatomically shaped crownpiece is softly padded and designed to keep the sensitive base of the ears as free from pressure as possible. Space has also been deliberately created around the jaw joint, allowing the bridle to fit comfortably without creating unnecessary pressure on sensitive structures of the horse’s head.
Thanks to its technical fit, a browband is not required. This keeps the front of the horse’s head free and allows the crownpiece to be positioned optimally according to the horse’s anatomy.
The low-positioned throat latch contributes to a stable fit without unnecessarily restricting the natural movement of the jaw. The cheek pieces are also designed to remain neatly in position during riding, including when the bridle is combined with hackamore shanks.
Every element of the ED4 bridle works together to create a stable and comfortable foundation for refined bitless communication.

The EDIX ED4 system allows different hackamore shanks to be combined with the same anatomical bridle. Each hackamore can offer a different pressure distribution, signal transmission, and degree of action.
This allows the configuration to be tailored to the individual needs of horse and rider. If those needs change over time, the system can easily be adapted by choosing a different hackamore configuration.

Availability
The EDIX ED4 Classic is supplied as standard without a hackamore or reins, allowing you to select your preferred hackamore and reins and create a setup that suits the individual needs of you and your horse.
The Blaze version is the exception and is supplied with reins as standard. The hackamore is also sold separately for this version.
